ALL gages dead and intermittent Having a 99 540I I have a battery drain that is NOT the HVAC control unit thing on the passenger side under dash/glovebox gone bad. Having said those things...the first day it got above 50 deg here all my gages went dead and temp gage went to the hot side and pegged, miles stopped but, all lights on gages were working. When putting on the brakes the temp gage moves to normal temps area and the tach moves a little for 5 seconds every time you step on the brake and then they go back dead. When you start the car the gages work for 5 seconds again then die. Sometimes the cluster starts working then dies, but rarely. What is wrong...has anyone run into this before...please help as I HATE electronics!
