Why "wouldn't" you want the extended mph limiter?? You may not ever get to 130+ but you KNOW it is there.

she likes to compare her other 4 BMW's with

my C-7 and new z06. I don't go over 130 except on a track or in a very remote area of s.w. Texas. On the other hand, she got a speeding ticket in France two weeks ago going over 100 in a 60!!

    who cares

unless you live somewhere with no speed limit or you have access to an oval. Is that REALLY going to make the difference between buying or NOT buying a car. Also, I think the after-market can take care of that.

Re: Nagging question on Sports Package...

According to BMWUSA, the SP top speed limiter is increased to 150 mph from 130 on the 135i coupe only - the convertible remains limited to 130. Just curious, do you often need to drive between 130 & 150?

    Nagging question on Sports Package...

When you order the $1,000.00 sports package with the 18"wheels,etc.
do they re-map the top speed limiter as on the 335? At first, i did'nt see this option, but maybe i missed it. I got it on the 335 last year and we are trying to decide on coupe or convertible...and then i read the top speed limiter may not be available on the convertible. Hope someone knows.
    thanks
