You mean Bill Gates isn't sharing his fortune?

But I helped him out with his email beta test just like he asked me to. I thought my check was just taking a while because my last name starts with W.

    Stat Lim

Fortunately for Pb the Stat Lim has probably run in Utah. Alex Roy had to hold publishing on his Cannonball Book until some of the Stat Lims had run on the States he mentions in the book. Further deponent sayeth not.

Many road trips here as well

6 weeks in a truck and camper in 1969 was really a learning experience.
The most memorable. may be in 03 when I picked up the 02 in Spring Valley New York with my then 16 year old daughter. We flew to New York, spent 3 days in Manhattan, then on Friday afternoon picked up the 02 Coupe. We left the dealer at 5pm and rolled into So. Cal mid afternoon Sunday. Most of the way at 80 with a top speed of 145 in Utah. It was already flashed and 6K on the clock. Hell of a trip

Especially if I'm in it hehehehe....

Our drive was a blast - I'm sure anyone here would love to see and hear about it.

    Road Trips

Through the years I have made a number of road trips in various vehicles. Couple of memorable ones.

Connecticut, to Montreal, to Matagami to Radison to Chassasibi on James Bay/Hudson's Bay. From Matagami to Radison you need permission from Hydro-Quebec to drive their 250 miles of perfect private road. You get permission by signing up for the incredible tour of the power plant when you get there. The road to Radison is stunningly beautiful, and except for an occassional company mini-van moving at a speed that would land you in Jail in the US, there is very little traffic. There are a few trucks hauling equipment, so be sensible about blind curves, but pretty much, it is a few hundred miles of bliss.

Quebec to Havre St. Pierre. This is the route up the West Side of the St Lawrence Seaway. A beautiful undulating road for hundreds of miles. Stop in Tadousac to see the whales, and then up to Havre for a tour of the Mingan Islands. Great salmon for sale very cheaply all along the way. And, on the way home stop in Quebec and prove that you cannot speak French.

Maine to L'Anse Meadows. Either take the Ferry from Bar Harbor or drive over the bridge in New Brunswick, CA to Nova Scotia. Through Digby for scallops. Up the Bay of Fundy to the Cape Breton Highlands, then in Sydney catch the Icebreaker Caribou to Newfoundland. If you head Northwest stay in Gros Morne Natl Park, then up the West Side of Newfoundland to the old viking site in L'Anse Meadows. On the way home in St. Barbe, take the Ferry to Labrador if you have a strong stomach. Waves can be large in the Belle Isle Straits. If you have the time go South East onto the Avalon Peninsula through beautiful towns all along the Ocean. I recommend Leading Tickles. Watch out for Giant Squid.

Lots more roads in the East. I do not speak French, and nearly every summer I go north to prove it.

Also, hard to fault West Virginia. Miles of incredible roads. The Skyline, etc...

    Way too quiet in here!

Anyone interested in a road trip narrative, with pics? Somewhat Coupe related (thanks to MLobo) but most of the pics are of (or from) the Cobra. Just recovered my old HD with the pics, so it's a good time to share.
