    you cannot use the -352 MOTRONIC

    yours is still the -156 and also the EML is different.
    We have both here, -352 and -156.
    But I believe it is not a MOTRONIC or EML problem.
    I remember Take had the same problem some years ago and we tested everything, we changed MOTRONIC's , injectors, EML, ignition wires, ignition coils and what ever, finally it turned out that his throttling valves looked like this, I still keep the pictures when we cleaned them. And still the fault came only sometimes. Since then no more problem after cleaning.
    I hae the overhauled throttling valves at home. Also fuel pumps if you need, ignition coils, distributors etc.

    No problem, just come over to us and we will fix it. It is just 200 kms. We also can swap ignition coils, MOTRONICs, gear selector switches and ignition coils and whatever you want, we have it there. Also the new M70 ignition silcicone wire sets I ordered. 20 sets, 10 in black, 10 in blue I have here.

    I read the way of mysterious EML resetting described on your page and tried it today when EML light came on, but it was not effective for my car.

    Battery had already been charged enough after jump start.
    It was replaced only 10 months ago, so it does not die yet I think.
    Test09 showed 12 volts before engine start and 13.9 to 14.1 volts after engine start.

    I have 1 EML module and 2 DME modules of ALPINA and I tried to change
    them today for testing.
    Changing EML did not solve the problem and changing DME could not been done because DME size was different.

    They were older type than my car's their. They were too large and had different type of connectors, so could not been mounted.
    I noticed this after removing 1 of DME. So I mounted it again.
    Then EML light went off, but engine power became poor.
    Even though it was more powerful than limp mode, but it was much poorer than usual.

    Yours is the Alpina 12 5.0, but I think we still have some other MOTRONIC and EML there from the grey Highline or the 1994/03 750 E32.
    And throttling valves and whatever you need. It might be also sticky throttling valves. Ever cleaned them? You have to completely disassemble them and clean them and assemble.
    I have 2 complete remanufactured sets here = 4 pieces. Can send to you for testing if you want. Or we clean yours when you come. We also have the gaskets for that etc.

    Charge the battery for a long time, and check the battery, maybe at Autobacs with a load charger.
    Maybe the battery is just going to die.
    If you need one, ask Take or JB1, maybe they still have one.

    Usually we are on the 'other board'.

    EML light on and no power

    I did jump start 2 weeks ago and the first time got EML light to come on. Before jumping start, I do not remember EML problem on this car.

    From then, EML often comes on while driving or at re-starting engine.
    Once it comes on, still on after ignition off.
    Even diconnecting battery does not solve the problem.
    Of course it goes off by disconnecting battery, but after re-connecting battery, it comes on again.
    DK motor seems to move while on but engine has no power.
    After a long time interval(1 day or more), it goes off and engine runs fine for a while and it comes on again.

    Today I changed another EML unit after light on.
    It also did not solve the problem, so just EML unit seems to be fine.

    Does anyone has similiar experience after jumping start?
    Is there possibility to damage some electorical part?
