    I finally got round to installing another on an

    e24 and it turned out as good as they get. Just about perfect. You have to do ALOT of trimming...the e28 should be much easier.

    I ordered 10 total dash covers for my for sale car to please the whiney people and yep they have a hole for the vin. Quite nice.

    I wish you could get them here, the dash on my 6 is terrible.

    But I think heat would be a problem, I left my Nokia Navigator in the 6 a few weeks ago and fried it.

    Not all.. But I am happy to hear they have them now. THe ones I bought were 20 years ago and cracked dashes just don't bother me anymore.

    I've done 6 of them and the ones I've done

    range from very good to near perfect. 5 of Mine were on 6ers which are a little harder than the 5er IMHO. When my 5er cracks a bit more it will get one. Just don't be afraid to trim it...alot...my last one, after trimmed, I haven't even glued in and no one has noticed. Only seen one negative post from a 6er guy in Las Vegas and his looked terrible after a year...heat I guess. 2 of mine are over 5 years and still look excellent. The carpet cover sucks compared to it IMHO.

    the new one I got has a slot cut for the VIN. It looks ok "sitting" in place. just wondering if they squeak and creak a lot (if installed correctly)Steve

    Not to bad even the picky ain al people have to look twice to see its a cover. The only neg is the vin numbers get covered up and thats a dead giveaway.
