    Pay attention PRK1223

Did you actually read anything but my post before you made a post that added nothing new, provided no useful information and was purely a violation of TOU?

Re: Use your FREE maintenance plan

Yes...lets waste a ton of time and drive to a dealer and wait even longer....or post a sensible answer on here to save some some of us are out of warranties you dickhead !

    Use your FREE maintenance plan

Obviously only those who cannot remember that they have a 4 year free maintenance plan on their expensive car get upset when they are reminded of that fact.

Dinking around, yes that's the word, and possibly voiding your warranty is absurd.

Re: Use your FREE maintenance plan

Well, perhaps the previous poster was right, you may be a moron and an offensive one at that.

    Use your FREE maintenance plan

Now, instead of going to the dealer and getting it done by someone who knows what they are doing AND will do it for FREE, the 'advice' is to pay someone who may or may not know what they are doing.

Wow, that's some DIY advice...go to a bodyshop that will charge you for the work.

Yes, take it to the DEALER

Of course the obviously intelligent answer is not to putz around with a DIY project that is covered by your 4-year maintenance contract.

If you putz around with it and you screw something up then you can be subject to voiding your warranty and having to really fix things up. The idiocy of people who think they know what they are doing but do not really know much AND who encourage other people to ignore their maintenance perks is really poor behavior.

It is amazing how people discourage others from getting the service they have paid for.

    Makes you wonder about motivation.

    Re: Replace reverse lights???

Get the proper bulb (silver base) not a brass one and drop by a local body shop. They have a "spreader" tool they can get the back panel off with. Should be a 5 minute job.

And, please excuse that previous post from a true "moron". That attitude is not helpful in a forum such as this. If someone finds a post offensive just ignore it instead of exhibiting ignorance.

    Re: Replace reverse lights???

Unless you are really far from a dealer, why not use your 4-year maintenance and warranty on your 07.

    Re: Replace reverse lights???

Lots of plastic clips that need carefully popping out with a standard trim remover tool.

Probably a 2-man job as that panel is big and needs supporting when unhooking anything that is attached to the underside,
(e.g. the wiring for the interior hatch light)
and when positioning it on re-installation.

The plastic clips are not all round the edge as on other doors, but more generally distributed.
So you have to make a start wherever you can and proceed carefully from there.

    Replace reverse lights???

    Hi Guys

Just to find out if someone will know how to replace the reverse lights on a X3 2007 model?? I can see you need to remove the panel at the back of the hatch door, only 2 x screws but still stuck..... is there any plastic clips that is holding the panel in place???

    Please advise...
