I would think it wouldn't stay on that long Maybe you should start asking your SA what is normal.

After 2 hours and 32 degree temperatures? Seems like it would stop after engine cooled downd. I checked the residual heat. Not activated.

Electric Water Pump goes after car stops Its a pretty cool feature actually.
Electric Water Pump goes after car stops
Water or oil circulation pump - keeps turbos cool It runs after shutdown to prevent coking of the oil in the turbo. Also, read the manual on "residual heat" in the hvac section.

Engine bay noise when car isn't running, help! Just picked up my 2007 335 coupe. Love the car. Only 15,000 miles. With CPO I have 3 years coverage, and because I financed at least $7,500, I get an additional 2 years of free maint!!!! I went out to make some settings using the I drive, and heard a noise from the engine bay. Every 25 seconds for about 3 seconds. Sounds metallic, like a motor is running. Car has not been driven for a few hours. Any idea what this could be?
