what an adventure!

we went to lunch and were too sunbaked to return. sorry for not stopping by. i have some good pics to email you but my card reader just died. will shoot em over soon.

very cool to see the dp4 on track...we could tell it (and you) weren't 100% sorted.

how about the pair of two-11s on the track? very cool to see in the US.

Hey dp! haven't been able to keep track of your progress in awhile but the dp4 looks and sounds awesome. May be someday when I get a real job... When you're down in the Bay area, let me know. I'd love to come out and say hi and check out your new stuff. I think I'm on call on 7/9-11 tho...sucks!

that was only the car's third lap ever

on a full-size track, with one of our own mcoupers (Karl) at the wheel and being very cautious. with some seat time and tuning i think Karl can find another 15 seconds out there. he is faster than me but i got a couple more laps this day (literally). on my 7th lap i did a 1:58 flat (the video lap is 2:02) still without pushing too hard so the car has plenty more in it. my wife got into 2:01s in 5 laps later in the afternoon.

the goal for this first outing was to get the car out there, have a few different people drive it, see what needs work, etc. i'm pleased with how it went. now tuning and tweaking can begin.

the plan is to homologate it for DSR

but i see the best venue for it is hillclimbs and time trials, esp. in awd form. i was even contemplating pikes peak this year but they moved it up a month due to paving and we won't be ready. guess will have to run on full pavement next year :)
