Same Issue from the Left Coast to the right, but we made it work.
Same Issue from the Left Coast to the right,
There's more to it. For a lot of people, it's not an issue of laziness, or trying to keep the garage queen's miles down. It's an issue of only being able to be away from the office for so long. And having other interests that use a lot of the vacation we do get each year. Not all of us are retired/unemployed/rich.
There's more to it.
we chuckle a little too...
I guess some run with scissors, and some. . . don't play well with others? JOKING, folks, I don't care WHERE people meet up. I DO understand the left coasters eye rolls when people complain that the CA destination is "too far" though. Well yeah but... We have other venue now.... I guess it benefits those that can't handle a cross country drive for whatever reason... Or just can't let go.... Re: Homecoming? The "first" one was essentially an uninvited, informal gathering, so why not do it again? Although we have been kicked out of the house, it IS still "home." Homecoming?
As I hope to make the trip East.... with the Z3 Race car some day. I'd love to drive more of the tracks all over this country.

The PLAN so far... Hello again All, We are still working on the Homecoming planning and need your help. We need at least 50 people (25 Z’s) RSVP’d to reserve and close Rivera’s restaurant in Greer again. If you haven’t sent your RSVP yet please do so today. As you may recall the meal was fabulous but her business has really taken off and to close up shop for us it has to be advantageous for her and us. Host hotel is still the Embassy. Also here is what we are thinking right now for an itinerary… Friday Lunch in Greenville TBD Afternoon country drive Cocktails at the Embassy Dinner at Joe’s (tradition) Saturday Breakfast in the Atrium Morning Drive to Lunch destination (subject to change to picnic at the plant) Afternoon Drive Cocktails at the Embassy Dinner at Rivera’s of Greer Sunday Return home at start Fall Drive Planning Greg Paul

envious no offense taken. Envious - yes. I have considerable envy for you and all of the others from the left coast that have the time and resourses to make such a journey. Jealous - absolutely. Someday I will get to make the trip to the Pacific coast and see what the other side is so proud of. This is a beautiful country we live in and you meet some of the best people driving a roadster.
envious
weaksauce If you don't have the time to drive fly and rent. The cross country thing is a total blast. Try it.
weaksauce
No offense intended...I just get... a kick out of those east coast folks who complain about driving "that far" when so many folks from the west coast have been driving or flying "that far" for the past 13 years. Besides, we are proud of what we have to offer out here so we are anxious to host an event and show off a bit. Cheers, Scott Pettit

Re: You tell 'em Big Daddy.... Relax guys, since when has this been a right coast vs left coast thing?
Re: You tell 'em Big Daddy....
You tell 'em Big Daddy.... I have been biting my lip every time one of them Right Coast folks makes that comment.
You tell 'em Big Daddy....
Yabbut we have been driving cross country for over 10 years... So we shall not endure complaints of too far to drive.... Re: [Oops!] ing whiners! You can only keep it low Not whinning, just don't have the time to do a cross country ride. And while I don't have Blain's milage, mine is a daily driver with 133000 miles. Some day I hope to do the cross country drive in my Lil Z3 and I'm hopping to have this car till the day I die.
