Re: tire wear and tire recommendation

See the thread just below this on Hankook Ventus tires. In one of my responses is the spec for camber on rear tires. Yes it is normal for eth insides of a 645/650 rear tire to wear faster due to normal alignment specs.

I have run three sets of RFTs and one set each of PS2s and Pirelli PZero assymetrics. I came back to RFTs after each try of non-RFTs. I never could feel any more "comfort" or hear any less noise with the non-RFTs (PS2 or PZero). As far as grip is concerned I found just a bit more wet grip in the PS2 but not enough to make any difference to me in 95% of my driving here in Florida (straight roads don't you know). However, twice a year I head for the twisties of North Carolina and Tennessee (especially the Tail of the Dragon, US 129) and there I find that the stiff sidewall of the RFT suits me better. When on non-RFTs I found I had to raise the front tire pressures to 42-44 psi cold to keep the same feel to the car as I have with RFTs. Just a personal preference and not meant to sway you in your opinion. I do, however, intend to try a set of the Hankook V12s as they are 1/3 or less the cost of the OEM RFTs or PS2 or PZeros and I have yet to find anyone who does not like them.

    tire wear and tire recommendation

I have a 2005 645ci and love it!Recently my flat tire alert went on when i checked the tires i found a nail in my rt rear tire.I drove it a local tire shop and they said they could put a internal patch and repair it. im running Bridgestone Potenza RFT front 245/40/19 and on the rear 275/35/19.Iwas planning to get rid of the rft's once they wear down. when i brought the car in for the flat repair they told me i had 6-8/32 on the mid tire but 2/32 on the inner tire due to camber wear. the person told me they see this alot with BMW'S.About6-7 months ago the car was aligned at my local BMW dealership with nothing said about tire wear.Is this a general problem? i will probably switch out of RFTS any reccomendations?Ilove Michelin PS2 SPORTS[A LITTLE PRICEY] THANKS
