Re: 740i inst panel removal This board has been pretty quiet for some time and covers the 7 from 2002 to 2009. You might get help on the 7 Series (E38) board that would cover a 1999 model.

740i inst panel removal Hello, I'm new to the forum and to BMW's also. Thinking seriously about buying a 1999 740il. The digital display section on the main gauge panel has many inoperative pixels. Have heard this may be simply a bad connection to the instrument panel. My question...can I tilt the instrument cluster out by removing the screws directly above the bezel? Also, are there any major chronic problems with this model to consider before I buy? Any inputs appreciated. Best regards, Hal
