Not quite the same thing, but... A BMW roadster is central to the plot of the 1999 novel X-Files: Skin. Sadly, it is the total destruction of the roadster in a massive highway pile-up accident that begins the adventure for Mulder and Scully. Never called a Z3, but almost certainly had to be what the author was thinking about.

Re: Z3 in Movies & TV They missed: "The Italian Job" Car going to neighbor's party was a Z3. I'd keep playing! I don't think the heavy stuff will be coming down for quite a while! z3RIFFRAFF ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

AH! Wasn't on the M Roadster list...now I see it!
That's on the list.... Maybe like a few pages from the front, but it's there. One that's not there though is "Haven" with Orlando Bloom. It's a face-lifted 2.5 that Fritz rides in to see Richie-Rich at the party, so it does get a decent amount of screen time. Ja_
That's on the list....
Another one.... Ben Affleck drives an M Roadster in Armageddon....
Another one....
I think I know of one they missed DOn't know the name of it but it had Michael Buble and Krista Allen in it. She crashes her white Z3. Read "Through The Esses" on RaceFansTV.com ashautomobilia.com TheRaceSite.com dailysportscar.com

Z3 in Movies & TV http://www.imcdb.org/ I just found this in a Hemmings magazine. Unreal! Who compiles this info? They have our cars 'starred' by importance in the film, from background scenes to prominent rolls. Amazing compilation. Just scroll down a bit on this linked page and hit BMW and then 'way down' until you find Z3 and take it from there. I hope I posted it OK. www.imcdb.org2002 Z3 3.0 Topaz Blue
