I would baste the new/used speakers anyways... ...just as a precaution. Blowing the stock HK subs isn't a matter of if, but when. Regardless of whether or not you decide to baste, stay away from any music by The Blue Man Group. Their first CD (at very low volume) blew my footwell subs.

Hahahahahahahaha, you're joking right!? ...Even a crappy $40.00 pair of Walmart dual brand speakers will give you better sound, I opted for the $90.00 Pioneers, but I digress. You might can breath new life back into the ones you have, I came up with a simple fix for those blown turds: Blown woofer fix

Me too I have the speakers from the HK system in my 98 M Roadster if you haven't already got yourself covered with the ones from earlier replies.......Tom
Me too
I have my originals Replaced with BSW.
I have my originals
I might still have mine. If I can find them I'll let you know. They're out of a 2002 3.0 so they should fit! I'd keep playing! I don't think the heavy stuff will be coming down for quite a while! z3RIFFRAFF ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm looking for original footwell speakers I'm well aware of the BSW replacements, but at this time I am looking for a set of original footwell speakers for my 2002, 300i Z3 roadster. If you have 1 that's great. If you have I'll take booth (planning for the future). The passenger side gave up recently. If you've swapped yours out or are thinking about making the move to aftermarket let me know if I take those originals those off your hands for a sensible price.
