82 635 - Opal now with Black int & 5 speed ??miles I have had this car for 11 years (a record for me as I've owned about 40 cars). Love it - hate it relationship. Finally working pretty good after rebuilding suspension (lowered), larger brakes, factory exhaust, no cat, the right brain, new windshield, 3.73 LSD, wiper motor fixed, electrical gremlins gone, repainted (with new aluminum trim), removed side markers, converted brown interior to black, new leather on the recaros, 17" Style 5s, various new window motors, rear seat head rests, non working headlight wipers, no rust as it was a Texas car since 84 except for the 2 years I had it in Denver (it saw no snow), all the tools including a nice new blue rag from Bert, Momo steering wheel that I have had for 20 years+, short shifter, rebuilt 260 tranny, new drive shaft,, new center bearing, new AC compressor including lines, dryer, coverted to R34 What does it need: A new head - top priority new door rubber new headliner Stereo, I can't believe I drive it around without music, but I must admit, it sounds great without the cat using stock exhaust

85 635 154K miles Replaced every piece and bit of the suspension. Done a lot of maintenance work on her but now that I need to get into the seats and other interior work I am distracted by a CS coupe that I have bought and has been taking my attention (and money). Sometimes I sigh when I think the 635 isn't getting the attention she deserves. We'll see, either I'll go on to a new energetic spree on her or I pass her on to a new caretaker. She has been a great car though. Can't say enough about the E24! The euro versions are a tad more special. Dave 85Euro
