Re: mircofilter on ebay, but not all E32 have them

Mine didn't have a microfilter. I put the sword in a few days ago. Wasn't bad at all. Took about an hour.

I have all speeds on my blower again!!

Now to fix my power steering

mircofilter on ebay, but not all E32 have them

check first before you buy. Usually there is a label in the glovebox, but for a certain time they 'forgot' to add the label. Before 1991 you will not have a microfilter for sureShogun E32 Tech Tips:

Re: I could fix it for you, but I live in Japan

I received the sword yesterday. Will try to tackle it tomorrow on my off day. If mine has the microfilter I'm going to replace that as well. Is that only a dealer item? If so, I'm sure it will be outrageous.

Thanks very much for your offer. If you were in the states, I would definitely send it to you. From reading/lurking on this forum for awhile, I can tell you know your bimmers.
I'm trying to get the one on ebay that you posted. I'll keep you posted.

    Thanks alot,

I could fix it for you, but I live in Japan

yes, most likely the sword, typical symptoms.
To send it to Japan is too expensive, also considering return shipment.

    or ebay, search for

I have an 88 735i built in 9/87. The blower motor died on me all together tonight. Before that it only ran on HIGH setting, but it ran all the time no matter where the rotary switch was.. From reading on here and various other forums it seems to me the sword is bad.
For some reason, I thought I smelled a burnt smell after it quit working. Does that still point to the sword? If so
where is the best place to buy a good used/rebuilt one. I've never soldered anything so I just want to replace it. Unless some one wants to fix it for me. :)
