Whoever gets Chivas M5 diff will need the M5 driveshaft, which he has. He changed the side flanges so your 540 halfshafts will mate properly with his diff.

The diff 540sport has will need the M5 halfshafts as well as the M5 driveshaft, which is about an inch shorter than the 540 DS.

driveshaft length? different using M5 diff & half shafts or same as 540..........Jim/Vin RU installing for me :)

Chivas, I thought bout this&decided ur not allowed

I've been looking for this for four years

always was too much work and different players to tie together (and I couldn't install). This could work out perfectly, if it does I'm in.

If there is any issue, I'll let you know.

Actually, I have the diff, driveshaft and 2 axles

They came from a low mile '00 M5. I had them all checked out and they are in perfect shape. I have them on Craigslist for 1400 right now.

thanks Jim, but if mem serves me correctly he either had only one, or neither of the half shafts.
