What part of Long Island? I grew up in Smithtown but have lived in Selden since 1973. Love those Jags!Read "Through The Esses" on RaceFansTV.com ashautomobilia.com TheRaceSite.com dailysportscar.com

Absolutely agree I live in Hickory NC, 80 miles east of Asheville and tery to get on those NC twisties as often as I can. I retired a year ago and look forward to many drives in the mountains like NC02Z3 suggests.Clazzic Don-NC '00 2.3 Hellrot II Roadster - TESSI, WSM(C), Z3ST If this is "midlife crisis," I'll take it
Absolutely agree
Re: Sorry to waste your time but... Not meaning to hijack the thread but Ash, if you are retired and want endless driving roads with no traffic, seriously look at the small towns west of Asheville in the mountains. If you have to work, then this area may not be the wise choice unless you have your own business. Very inexpensive living here but NO jobs to speak of. I have lived here (retired) in Franklin (Macon County) for the past 8+ years and we have still not hit every road west of Asheville. It is literally endless 'twisties' plus the Blue Ridge Pkwy, Tail of the Dragon, Cherohala Skyway, etc... and the yearly Maggie Valley Fall Run which is hosted by the Atlanta Z3 club.

Re: Sorry to waste your time but... Very interesting, I see New York Plates on your Z. My wife and I were raised on Long Island. Your link to ashautomobilia has a great photo of a 54 Jag XK120. I had the same car and color (in 1966) which was a major influence on purchasing my Z.Clazzic Don-NC '00 2.3 Hellrot II Roadster - TESSI, WSM(C), Z3ST If this is "midlife crisis," I'll take it
I believe that the ZSCCA has members in... both countries. Would you me to check it out and IF we do, I'd be happy to ask them to email you. Scott Pettit President BMW-ZSCCA

Sorry to waste your time but... ..I found it very interesting that you are from North Carolina as we are thinking of moving there AND, you are going to New Zealand which is where we are headed in March! Yeah, that bit of info does not address your question but it just struck me as funny the two future states of our life are aligned with your current and future state. Sorry about the rambling...it's late, I'm tired and now you are probably wondering when I am going to stop blabbering. How about I stop now? :)Read "Through The Esses" on RaceFansTV.com ashautomobilia.com TheRaceSite.com dailysportscar.com
