Re: Not so fast Dave Z ??? Got 'em from Dave Z and they were not cheap.

Centric makes at least 3 grades or rotors, (m) A few months ago I bought the cheap ones for the V70 beacuse I'm going to be selling it when the Subie arrives. Think I paid $35 each, while the more expensive Centric rotors were ~$75 or more each. So far (10K miles) they have been fine.

Not so fast Dave Z ??? Zeckhausen touts them. I've always wondered about the numerous cases of warped rotors; how many are really manifestations of other ills? The materials are essentially the same, if there's similar mass they should respond to heat the same way. That said, careless manufacture can lead to excessive lateral runout ... a warped disk, which if not excessive, can be machined out on a brake lathe. Of course, why should you have to do that with a brand spankin' new rotor?

I'd have gone for them but I had two sets of Centric rotors and they were both warped. No more Centrics for me.
I'd have gone for them but
Yes, I was surprised there was so little interest A bit of sniping and somebody would have had nice parts for 1/2 price. Did okay on the Euro armrest, not too bad on the Bentley manuals and radiator.

Saw your listing on ebay, almost bit for the (m) rear rotors and pads even though I really don't need them, the fronts are different than mine.

Anybody need new brakes? My brake job was curtailed by the 530 being totaled. Shipping is a B****, but I think I'll sell the rotors below anything you can find that isn't Chinese. Pagid Red pads, BAV considers them a lower dust OEM alternative. Centric rotors for 530i or 540i with a 04/00 build or later. Painted hats and vents, a nice solid rotor equal to OEM (Zeckhausen sells them). Pagid pads. They don't fit my son's 2008 550i, so they're just gathering dust in my workshop.
