Costco rubber mats. Deep grooves to hold water >>

cheap ($20), last a long time. Trim to fit. They come in gray and tan.

The Bav auto Mats look ok but the pile seems to show wear pretty quickly.

I bought new OE mats from the dealer when i bought the car. within one year the drivers side developed a hole where my right heel goes all the time. So i switched to the OE rubber mats they fit really nice and hold alot of garbage and water. Stronger and cheaper than carpet mats.

Have Lloyds in the 530i and getting ready to order a set for the wagon. Great quality and fit, use factory holding system (actually I like it better than the factory. Factory on the 530 was velcro and platice pads, Lloyds uses 1/4 turn fasteners through a grommet in the mat). I got mine from autoanything.com, they'll match or beat anyones price and a lot of the time shipping is free.

I'm still using my 1998 factory floor mats in the summer. The driver's mat shows some wear where my heel goes but it's not rapidly accelerating. In fact it doesn't look much worse than when I bought the car in 2001 and I was considering replacing the mats but never bothered. In the winter I use the OE rubber winter mats. They're wearing too, but nowhere near wearing through.

One thing I love about the OE mats are the fit and the fastening system. Make sure that whatever you get has the factory fastening system (whatever that is on the E92).

In German car circles I've heard good things about Lloyd's although I remember reading somewhere that they have multiple "lines" of mats - some good, some "meh". I believe the PO of the Porsche I used to have put Lloyd's mats in before he sold the car. The mats themselves were good but they lacked a good fastening system and moved around more than I would have liked. I didn't buy them, so I didn't research what quality level they were.

Floor mat experience?

OEM's lasted about four years. Went to sisal (previous experience), not a good choice for a daily driver.

So, I've an E92 on order and the mats are no longer included! OEM's are relatively expensive, so I was considering BAV Auto's plush mats ... similar to OEM (made by Lloyd I think) and cheaper. Anyone have experience with these? Or do you have a better alternative?
