    I've got the Milwaukee one, and I'm extremely happy with it.

    For the price (about $350 CDN, so maybe $225 or so USD), it included the carrying case, TWO batteries, rapid charger and Impact wrench.

    I can generally change about 12-15 sets of tires using it without a recharge...handy as all heck at the track. We've also used it for complete suspension removal / reinstallation on a couple of cars at the track as well. Don't know what I'd do without it. Highly recommended.

    Some of the stuff on that site is garbage, which is the only reason why I am hesitant. I did get their aluminum racing jack for $199 (advertised on their home page) and I have to say I am pretty impressed with it so far (even though it is made in China, it is put together well). I bought the extra 1 year warranty just in case for $20 - cheap insurance.

    I need to check on the warranty for the impact wrench, then I might buy it. If I do I'll let you know how it works out.

    from what I can tell the one to get is the Milwaulkee 18v. it makes something like 250ft/lbs. I have a snap-on 12v which only does 75ft/lbs, so over tightening is not a problem for me. The Milwaulkee 18v costs about the same as the snap-on 12v, too.

    Check out Pro-Cut international at and click on TorqStiks, and pick yourself up one of the 80 ft-lb torqstiks with the correct drive that your impact wrench has (in my case it's 1/2").

    Based on the design of these things, you can rail away with the impact wrench and it will only go up to 75 or 80 ft-lbs of force (check out the site for the description why). I use it and LOVE it but I still always double check with the manual torque wrench once I drop the car off the jack to be safe (ex. if the battery may be wearing down it may not be able to get all the way to 80 ft-lbs...) It makes it much easier to put the lug bots on though - be careful not to shag the threads in the hub!

    Cordless Impact Wrench

    I am thinking about picking up a cordless impact wrench for tightening of wheel stud nuts at the track. I don't know much about impact wrenches, however, and I am wondering how the level or torque is controlled on them. For example, if I want the nuts to be torqued to 75 ft. lbs, can this be set on the impact wrench exactly? Does this function vary by wrench? Anybody used one that they can recommend? I see guys at the track using them often but I never it is the winter and there are no track days so any help would be appreciated.

    I don't mind using the trusty manual torque wrench, but those impact ones look pretty sweet.
