    I think that...

    GC camber plates can only be used if you've got coilovers.
    If you're club racing, slotting the towers will probably take you out of stock class and be hard to fix. There are some stock-class-legal camber plates made by ?koby? for E36 M3's.. dunno about E46's.

    If you're just doing DE's and not club racing, I think you can swap hats on an E46, but camber plates are more convenient for trying different things.

    Also, check your toe angle... it can cause strange wear.

    got reply form Michilin tech help....

    I got through to Michelin tech support - they believe it is due to understeer and the use of 225 front and 265 rear - they were very helpful - say I need more relative grip up front. will try to adjust front to rear pressure for more grip up front.

    If those are you numbers, you got a good one...

    you have a bit more neg. camber than most, Usually stock, pin in it's around -1 or less. In any case, I used the PSC on my MCoupe that was also stock as far as camber and came out to -.9. the wear on the shoulder was always good. I was able to drive the car for NYC to Watkins Glen (250m each way) run for 3 days , 4 sessions a day and see minimal wear on the outside shoulder. Without seing a picture of what it is that you are referring to I would tend to say that you're seeing normal wear.<br><img src=""height=180 width=240>

    prob closer to -1.75, i was told stock is -1.25 ..

    and with "pin" out is another -1/2. sound right? - strange to me though is that shouldet wear is fine, but the next two tread blocks have the unusual wear - when checked against others my guage was within 1/2 to 1 psi. have a call into Michilin - will see if they can help.

    -2 degrees stock camber on an M3 is rare...

    ... you really lucked out if you can get -2 from stock, usually the max, dowel pin out and all is -1.2/1.5.
    -2 to -3.5 is within Michelin's recommended camber range according to their literature. The inside is a softer compound from the outside so you might be seing just normal wear. As you know the PSC are very inflation pressure sensitive, have you checked you gauge against another lately? I checked mine and it was 3 psi off!<br><img src=""height=180 width=240>

    camber is about -2, toe at 0, any less pressure...

    and it feels the sidewall is rolling over. cant get any more neg camber stock.

    you are at the right pressure--any more and

    you will probably start to loose traction. For the fronts----
    check your camber-- you probably need more negative. Also, your toe should be set very close to zero.
    Too much toe in will cause increased wear in the PSC.
    The PSC offers very high grip with very a small slip angle.

    wear on Pilot Sport Cup tires..(?)

    I have two track schools on the pilot sport cups in my 2001 M3 - stock camber - they are awesome - I ran about 36-38 psi hot.

    On the front tires, I am noticing the two middle tread blocks are wearing much more but only on the half of these tread block that is towards the outside of the tire at an angle - this seems unusual since most tire wear I've seen is mostly on the very outside tread block (shoulder) - in this case the shoulder is not wearing very noticeably.

    can I cure this with more tire pressure? I would hate to use less cause it feels like the front tire is or will roll over.

    I have only seen this type of wear once before on an E46 M3 with street Continentals running at Willow SPrings - his tires were toast after the end of the weekend.
