Agree, coverage was very good ...

What I was referencing was the Williams team was a dissapointment.

I thought it was a good race, because the host...

broadcaster was smart enough to ignore MS up front most of the time and actually show the action further back in the field!

montoya is not crap. he is a great driver not able

to realise his full potential in f1 yet. as so many other drivers have done in f1. other than 1 or 2 drivers on the grid, these racers are among the best in the world. there is a reason why they are in f1 and you are sitting at home posting on the computer about how crappy montoya is. trust me, montoya is plenty good. he succeeded coming up the ranks and succeeded in america in cart and at indy and hopefully he will succeed in f1 while at mclaren. you base too much of a driver's performance on his qualifying and finishing position. you must also take into consideration the performance of the car. races are now, more or less, won in the garage, not in the pits and not on the track. if you have a bad car, you WILL NOT win. simple as that. montoya is probably the best driver on the grid who can take a poor handling car and perform. there is a book called "inside the grand prix driver's mind". in the book, there is a quote from a south african driver who was driving in a lower formula car and he was following this guy in the same type of car. the south african could not understand how the other driver was managing to pull away from him, b/c this other driver was accelerating away from him while going a bit sideways. he was going straight but the car was sideways. when the south african pitted, he asked his manager "wtf" b/c this guy was pulling away from him sideways. the manager responds, "dont worry about him, he's good. he's going places." that driver was....(drum roll) JUAN PABLO MONTOYA.

take a look at heidfeld, fisichella, trulli, alesi, mcnish ...(the list goes on). all these guys are great drivers but they never really had a chance. they are in the wrong cars and dont have a chance. mcnish got royally screwed. i forgot about heinz-harald frentzen. he beat schumi in other series b4 getting to f1. frentzen got stuck in the wrong car and never had a chance. jj lehto, johnny herbert. same old story. i can go on and on about wasted talent in f1. you need to be very good, but even luckier to succeed in f1. if you arrive at the wrong time, youmight not get a seat in the right team and could get stuck in a middle team and really be stuck there. fortunately for alonso and trulli, renault has lifted themselves up.

it's a demo. so guess what the details are.

Now that's really a load of crap......

Meybe not available right now but maybe next year.C'mon-even Button is a better driver than crybaby Montoya.
Unfortunately it's not only the drivers that are creating BMW's woes-they need to get their [Oops!] together and build a more competitive car-I thought their pockets were deeper than Ferarri's-so funds is not the problem.
BTW-what has Montoya done for BMW lately?

so you think drivers race ONLY to give their teams

victory, or they race for themself and then also to give the team victory...

besides its my understanding a team can only have 4 race drivers per year and with jungle boy that makes 4 for williams

im sorry but that is the biggest load of crap i

have heard on here in a long, long time. who would you say to hire in place of montoya and ralf? there is nobody available that could race better than montoya in that car. as for pizzonia replacing ralf, he deserved a chance IMO to race. test drivers work extremely hard and although i have heard he doesn't give the best feedback, he should be able to race one time at least for williams to attempt to prove he is worthy of a race seat. i think that this was the perfect opportunity for williams to test out new drivers in race for choosing next years lineup. unfortunately, i do not know the whole story why heidfeld couldn't test for williams to race this year, but from what i understand it was a contractual problem, which sounds like eddie jordan wouldn't let heidfeld test at williams. however, this makes no sense to me since if heidfeld did drive for williams this year, that would allow timo glock to race for jordan, which he has done already and has proven himself.

in addition, montoya might be leaving for mclaren next year, but he still enjoys winning. he might not be racing for the championship anymore, but he is still racing to win and to beat everyone else, ESPECIALLY michael schumacher.

so please, think logically before posting so i dont have to respond. now i expect richard to chime in and post something, but i think he will agree with me this time.

it's a demo. so guess what the details are.

Replace Juan and Ralf now-their hearts are not

    with BMW-
How can they be motivated to win for a team that they are both leaving?
Williams/BMW should hire 2 interim drivers-if the rules allow-fire Juan and Ralf!Talking about firing-BMW should fire Williams too!

    Front row for Montoya.

Car must be showing some progress. What was Pizzonia's problem? He is not showing any promise. I wish Ralf was racing this weekend because I think he would be towards the front of the grid. Hope it is a good race.
