Re: dimensions of 1 series
Re: dimensions of 1 series Its exterior length slots between the 3-door e36 and e46 ti/compact models. Width same as current e46 saloon, and some 2-3in less than the new 3-series. Height is 56in, which is a typical figure (if at the low end) for an all new car model, but still a whopping 1.5in taller than e46. But the dimension which strikes me the most, is actually the wheelbase, which at 104.7in is a full 2.6in less than in the old 3-series, and almost a full 4in less than in the new 3-series! This certainly promises limits for the rear legroom, but is a blessing for the tight quarters maneuvering with our narrow roads with tight corners and small parking spots! I've a couple of weeks old Autocar which contained a comparison with Focus, Golf, Opel Astra and BMW 116i. There were also the interior dimensions.. BMW was by far the tightest, especially in the rear compartment :(. I might dig that issue and post the specs.
it will be as wide as the E46
Same length as an 2002
dimensions of 1 series Does anyone have any info on dimensions of the 1 series, i.e. front legroom and rear legroom, length, etc... Thanks
