Re: EDC shocks rebuild possible!
Re: That would be nice - Keep us informed What is the different between SLS and EDC rear absorb? Does the EDC suspension system also with the SLS function?
Re: That would be nice - Keep us informed
Re: That would be nice - Keep us informed I have two set of EDC absorbs, and they real dead(4 front ones, the rear ones not sure). I am interesting about rebuilt them, also can be a sample!
Re: That would be nice - Keep us informed Guys, It looks as if the prices will be as follows for EACH damper: Simple reseal $ 150 plus parts Complete ovehaul and rebuild $ 300 plus parts Shipping will be of course paid by whoever needs the job done. It's still less than half of the cost for new ones! We'll all have to wait till February as Garcia needs to get settled and organized in his new home and get all the necessary spares and old shocks which he'll have ready to ship on exchange and his e-mail and address so that each of us may contact him directly. Anyone who has any old shocks front or rear EDC or rear SLS will be welcome to get them to Garcia eventually. He has been a US Air Force engineer for 17 years and he's used to work on "slightly" more complicated systems of actuators and dampers. I implicitly trust him both for this and because he's one of the ones actually working for our freedom, though I do not know him personally, nor am I his agent. Jaime

Re: EDC shocks rebuild possible! Heine As I said Garcia will be ready to do so in January. He is relocating to the US from England. He has found seals and parts needed for the rebuild and is completing the first set of shocks. He is in the process of determining also the cost. Jaime
Well?...... Is it the shop in Brazil?
Well?......
Re: How about SLS shocks? Also SLS. WE just need to give Garcia time to get organized Jaime

How about SLS shocks?
EDC shocks rebuild possible! Hello Group, Garcia is an airforce engineer and is in the middle of being transfered from England to the US. He owns a 95 M5 DV and has kindly offered to help with rebuilding EDC shocks. He is in the process of rebuilding the first set and is now looking to locate all necessary parts (seals, valves etc) As soon as he is organized and back in the US (in January) he has offered to rebuild dampers for those of us who need it. He will also let us know the cost for both a simple seals job or for the full refurbishing. It looks as if we may have solved this neverending saga. He would really like to put his hands on the workshop manuals, and that is why I posted the message regarding them. Jaime
