    Thank you for your comments about the web site. These will be helpful, as we are in the beta stage of production.

    Re. the cleavage, we are going to be toning down the site to PG.

    Check back with us soon as we will be adding more functionality and multi-media pieces including recent interviews on SPEED TV and Speed Freaks.

    Stay tuned for the Rolex 24 that will air live on SPEED beginning Saturday, February 5 at noon, ending on Sunday, February 6 at noon.

    Very cool, but the website...

    I like the looks of your team, I like having another BMW related car to root for. And, I like Memo as a driver, cool.
    But your website, although very pretty, is annoying. It resizes your browser window for you, very thoughtful; you can't use the back button to get back to where you were because of your redirect/flash setup; and the picture of the lovely girl stays up all the time. Which normally I don't mind, but makes it a bit uncomfortable to view your website while I am at work. If I want to look at cleavage, there are plenty of places to do that. When I go to your site, I want to see cars :)

    . . . the flat plane crank V8 BMW developed a couple years ago and put in a few racing M3's, or something closer to the street engine?

    CHARLOTTE, NC, January 19, 2005 – As the saying goes, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts – the same holds true for successful auto racing teams. Fast and safe drivers, knowledgeable and equally fast crew members, proper equipment and a plethora of other factors go into building a racing team that consistently performs well. Perhaps none is more important to the Ten Motorsports team, going into their first Rolex 24 at Daytona International Speedway, than the partnership they have formed with exemplary BMW tuner – Dinan.

    Known for their prowess to harness power, Dinan is North America’s premier BMW tuner, as evidenced by their warranty program and distribution through over 100 BMW dealerships throughout the United States. Steve Cameron, the Ten Motorsports team manager, knew that a relationship between his crew and the Dinan experts would be necessary for the rookie team to perform at the highest level. The union came to fruition when Steve Dinan and Gregg Davis, the Dinan Motorsports manager, joined the Ten team for the Daytona Test Days held earlier this month in preparation for the Rolex 24.

    The 500-horsepower BMW V8 has clearly found a good home with Steve Cameron and Steve Dinan providing the necessary TLC. As Steve Dinan witnessed from the pits during testing, the Ten Motorsports Daytona Prototype continually posted impressive lap times in each of the eight provisional sessions, with a notable second-best time during the final session. This is a particularly satisfying accomplishment for the team as three of the four drivers had never experienced the high-banks at Daytona.

    Steve Cameron sang the praises of an engine that he knew would be reliable, but also displayed a powerful side: “Our reason for selecting the BMW was to ensure that we weren’t going to have any issues that would require us to spend extensive amounts of time troubleshooting and rebuilding – that can take a toll on a crew over the season.” The Ten Motorsports captain added, “What we found was not only an engine that had zero problems over eight sessions, but one that also assured us that we had the power to run with the rest of the pack each and every lap.”

    Steve Dinan, who spent countless hours modifying the engine for peak performance, was clearly impressed with the execution of the crew and drivers: “It’s extremely gratifying to be involved with such a professional and well-managed team. Equally impressive is how quickly the car has been brought up to speed. I have every confidence that Finlay’s Ten Motorsports will represent some very serious competition this season”.

    Co-driver Memo Gidley noted: “The Dinan-built BMW has been very reliable and very fast. It has a powerband that pulls well off the corners and also has a good top end. Since the first test at Homestead we have not missed a lap with any mechanical issues and have been very competitive against other teams right from the start.” Michael McDowell, who will also be piloting the Daytona Prototype, expressed complete satisfaction with the performance of the engine, “We were towards the top of the list during each of the sessions, so it’s tough to argue with results. The Rolex 24 is going to be very challenging, but we’re all very well prepared for the task at hand, and we’ve got a solid car that is capable of putting us on the podium.”

    The Ten Motorsports team will once again be flanked by Steve Dinan for the Rolex 24 the first weekend of February at Daytona International Speedway.

    Rolex Series--Ten Motorsports Dials in with Dinan

    Hello Roadflyers!

    I'd like to introduce myself to you, as I represent the Ten Motorsports team that races in the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series. We are fielding a Daytona Prototype on a Rilex chasis with a V8 BMW engine, prepared by Dinan.

    Going into the Rolex 24 at Daytona, our first race of our rookie season, our drivers have created enthusiasm around the paddock, having posted excellent lap times during the Daytona test days held earlier this month. Of particular interest was second-fastest lap time in the final provisional, bested only by Chip Ganassi's team.
