Update:
I found a 5 yr extended warranty through the dealer. since then my passenger door lock wasnt opening well with the key fob. They replaced the locking system and i only paid 100 deductible!

Like other "products" there is retail, and then there is the price you pay. Not necessarily the same thing. Depends on your negotiating power and relationship with the dealer. You should expect a minimum of 10% off list.

Haven't had to put a claim on it yet, just cheap insurance I figure since I intend to keep the car. Years of extension was one of the key factors I looked into.

just been busy....Question: Has anyone taken an extended warranty after mfr. runs out? Mine's up June 18 on my 2003 Alpina 260/555.
Any ideas? LM
