Pretty much everything, as long as... doesn't require warning lights to be reset: I'm still having some problems with them...

I don't have a blog, i've thought about it, but it would be to much time to keep it updated...

I would say that if you have a particular question about something, you can just post it here and I or many others will try to help you, point you in the right direction and give you advice... The only stupid quesiton is the one you don't ask... eheheh

Sure, go ahead and take the pix if you'd like; I don't mind...

The cost of the rack is about $850 which include:
    1) the trunk rails that are permanently mounted as they require drilling the trunk lid. They cost about $250
    2) labor for installing the rails... I do all my maintenance and repair to my car, but my wife didn't trust me drilling the trunk (it's her car), so I had to take it to the dealer: $250
    3) the removable ski/snowboard rack which I paid $350

All are BMW parts and can be found on the accessory catalog you can pick up at your local dealer... Don't forget your 10% BMW CCA discount...

Here you can get an idea of how the rail look like...

As far as snowchains go, I got them at Costco a couple years ago for a different car and they fit the tires on the Z4 as well. Here's the link for them.

    Snowboarding with the Z4

Here's a couple pix we took over the weekend on an unconventional trip we took with the Z4

CalTrans forced us to put snow chains on on our way to Big Bear (California).

The Z4 made it there just as fine as the SUV and 4WD trucks... It was interesting to see the face of some of the people there, when they saw the car... eheheh!!!

The snowboard rack from BMW it's awesome, very well engineered. However the extra weight wasn't letting the trunk lid to open so we had to replaced the rubber cushions with the spring loaded type I had on the Z3...
