Re: Removing TInt from Rear Window I just had it done yesterday. The guy used a heat gun and it peeled as he heated the glass from the outside. The little residue was removed with 000 steel wool. He charged $100 to remove and add new.

Goofing Off Thanks for the tip. I'll try it. I tried a steamer and it left gluey residue.
Goofing Off
Re: Removing TInt from Rear Window i used spray goof off on it. worked like a charm once i got a corner started.
Re: Removing TInt from Rear Window Thanks, let me know if it came out OK and left your defroster strips. I tried a small home steamer and the film peeled on corner easier but left lots of glue which looks hard to clean off. I stopped.
Re: Removing TInt from Rear Window I'm having it done tomorrow. The guy I'm using to do it says he's going to steam it and that it's a slow process. Cecil
Removing TInt from Rear Window I want to take the tint off my rear windshield. I don't want to pull off the defroster element or leave glue residue I can't clean. Has anyone removed rear tint without hurting defroster? Any advice? Thanks.
