I know it only from my M70 engine

which has the EML throttling valve with fly by wire with an attached motor. Just cleaned up 2 spare DK's and checked it, even when they are completely closed, they are not 'air tight' closed.
Something goes theu always. Might be different on the M60, because my M70 also does not have an ICV, as the idle is controlled by the EML module.Shogun E32 Tech Tips: http://twrite.org/shogunnew/topmenu.html

Should trottle body let air in while closed?

When doing smoke test we did not gap ICV hole (M60) and had throttle body in closed position and started smoking the air intake boot.

The smoke passed closed throttle body with ease and started coming out from within intake manifold out ICV hole.

Should closed throttle body not allow any air in the manifold?
