    Yes, replacing these things is not hard but a real hassle. I had 2 non-OEM pumps fail (CarQuest brand, don't know the manufacturer) within about 4 months. Got a "free" replacement the first time and a refund the second. I went with OEM after that and it's been fine for about a year and a half.

    One thing I noticed about the non-OEM was the reduced pressure of the spray. That should have been a warning sign.

    windshield washer pump- aftermarket pumps

    Looking up windshileld washer pump, I find that there are two aftermarket pumps made by Trucktec and another by Vemo. THey are less than half the price of the BMW pump, but I would like to know how good they are, this will be my 3rd pump and I am getting tired of the hassle to replace itGwynne Spencer, '97 540iA (Euro delivery, Aug. 28, 1997)
