Photos For some reason the link was removed from my post above. Here is a photo http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pi...5&id=566574352 Here is the album http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?s...9f4aea6&type=1 The new Roadly is very oddly formatted. What is 9 divided by three? What is all that about? No more picture links or hyperlinks, either. And they appear to be removed from my older posts...

V-8 versus I-6 The I-6 has three torx bolts. Sounds like you have a V-8. No Y-duct on a six!

Re: Cannot remove DISA valve I just changed my y duct today and had to remove my DISA valve. I only had to remove two hex bolts. There is a third but didnt seem related. BMW x5 2204
Re: Cannot remove DISA valve
Re: Cannot remove DISA valve There are THREE torx bolts holding the DISA valve in place. One is kind of hidden. Don't feel bad, I did the same thing for about 10 minutes, until I thought, "Hmmmm.... maybe there is a third torx bolt". Of course, none of the diagrams show it. There are two bolts - one on each side of the opening, and then a third on the body of the valve itself. See link below for more pictures. If you do not yet have a Bentley manual, I highly recommend it. Good Luck! P.S. - my photo album mistakenly said two bolts as well. I just yanked the hood on my car - there are three. Good Luck!
Cannot remove DISA valve I removed the two T40 torx bolts and even the nut beneath it (which I wasn't sure I was supposed to do). I have put a ton of force on this thing and it won't come out. I pull on it laterally away from the engine block. I get a little movement. I have tried prying it with a screw driver to get a little play and I have saturated it with WD40. I have tried actuating the butterfly by using my finger and pulling the level to no avail. Does anyone have any advice? Please!
