Re: Heard this today from dealer Actually I didn't forget about the 320i. No where has it been stated that the 320i will be available for 2006. About the second point. I don't totaly disagree with you. Canada is only 2% of total BMW sales. But, it's not like bringing it to canada would be something new... the car already exists. Just remember, if consumers know that there would be a new car (1 series) comming that is more power full then the current 3, and just a bit samller... how are dealers going to sell the current 3 that they have on thier lot? Of course they would not tell that a cheaper, more powerfull, just a bit smaller car is comming. Just my $0.02

Re: Heard this today from dealer You forgot about our 320i. Re second point - just repeating what the owner told me. I know that Canada varies the equipment on their models, but it is nothing that isn't available from production. But as for entire series/models, the Canadian market is just 5-10% of the U.S. so tough for Canada to go it alone.
Re: Heard this today from dealer Lets see, in Canada base Cooper Classic starts at $22,600 and Cooper S starts at $29,850 Current 325i base is $39,900 I see a $10,000 gap! I don't think Canada will be getting the 116i, or the 118i, so I doubt the 1er will be priced less than the mini. Who knows, Canada may not even get the 120i, only the 125i and 130i. And as for the second point from 'the dealer' Canada doesn't do every thing the US does.
makes sense to me.
Heard this today from dealer Coupla reasons. Apparently the 1-series is killing sales of the mini in Europe. You can buy a 1-series for less that a mini, so Canada will wait until the sedan and coupe are available. Secondly, the U.S. doesn't like hatchbacks, so since BMW Canada follows the coat tails of the U.S., we won't get the hatchback.

Re: 1 series info....we will only get coupe in Canada That is old... Check the first paragraph: http://www.germancarfans.com/spyphotos.cfm/spyphotoid/6041118.001/page/2/lang/eng/bmw/1.html "Canada will receive the BMW hatch for the 2006 model year in the fall of 2005."
Re: 1 series info....we will only get coupe in Canada
doesn;t make sense... although i am sure the sedan is quite small with marginally more space than the coupe
doesn;t make sense...
Re: 1 series info....we will only get coupe in Canada k
