in less than or more than 15 years old ? This makes a BIG difference. Also which province are you in ?
One is a mid/ late 1980s Porsche, and the other is a 2001 Bmw. I am in BC. Thanks!
I've imported a couple, though not from the US. The difference between the 15 y.o. and newer is that a car that is 15 y.o. or more (based on the month of manufacture) can be brought in with few hassles. It doesn't have to be Canadian specification.
If it's newer, and US spec, you have to go through the Registrar of Imported Vehicles (see the site posted by Mark). It costs money and hassles, but someone who has delt with it is better placed to explain it.
Even though I drive a sweet Euro, I've never imported a car so I don't have any advice but I did run across this website that has quite a few details. HTH
