must have features for an 02 or 03 M5?
I feel like i've been on bimmer.org forever, starting with my 98 540i Sport, and now my 01 740iL sport. Anyway, my kids are bigger, out of the boosters, and it's time to make the move to an M5. The 7 was wondeful but I dont need such a massive back seat now. I've been out of the 5 circle for a while and whould love to know what you guys think are the must haves, and conversly, totally worthless optins on the M5. I'll thank you in advance for your advice!

there were only a few options
The cars came standard with everything you'd want, and more. The only options in 02/03 were m-audio, sunshades, park distance control and fold down rear seats.
& paint,leather,seats,interior trims...

all that stuff was optional? :)
0-cost options, along with rear side airbags
Early models all had the rear side and curtain airbags but activation was optional. Later models (starting in '02 I think) only had them if you specified them.<img src="http://members.roadfly.org/pmiranda/TMCM_anim.gif">

I said in jest, but you guys are right: 0-cost
Re: must have features for an 02 or 03 M5?
the must have features for me is the M-audio(I think they all come with this) and the extended leather. The extra leather look awesome. Folded seats are useful but you lose some rigidity. PDC is useful but can get annoying.
if only one it will be PDC, can't live w/o it now
