without using flares?
15" rim with and et35 offset?

Widest was able to fit was a TSW 14 X 7, running Pirelli P44's. It HAD to be Pirelli's because of the flat sidewall. Any other brand seemed to have some roundness to it and would make contact with the strut tower AND fender lip.

FWIW, I run 205/40-16s on TSW 16x7.5 et 20 rims on my 02. Lowered, with no flares...
