URGENt Car won't start and i m stranded

I have a 740i 1997 and the car won't start. It won't crank and i found the battery to be bad. i removed it, brought it back home and tried to charge it but it seems that there is a short inside of it and it was also totally discharged. As a result i bought a new one from autozone and replaced it in the trunk but i still have the same symptoms. I tried idfferent keys as well but to no avail. furtheremore i can't put the car in neutral so towing is not an option...

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Ok, i did some searching and found that could relate to an oil level sender or the volatage reg wiring behind that alternator.

I ll tow the car tonight and start DIY on it tomorrow...
