I've been warning 325xi owners for years, check those front CV boots every time you're under the car.
yea - I have my second CV boot failure
front left outer, grease coming out
onto the wheel spokes (at only 33,000 miles)
right front axle replaced (at 25,000 miles)
my 1984 Mercedes-Benz CV boots are original
at 180,000 miles
my SAAB's from the past never experienced a
CV boot failure
makes you wonder/worry/question about our
Ultimate Driving Machiones ?
The previous owner had need for boots at 77,657 miles. They were replaced at 80,167. Parts=$105 labor=$522 Almost criminal, Yuppies are buying/leasing boat loads of Bimmers and doing zero maintenance (other than free stuff) Makes purchase of a BMW older than 3-4 years very risky. GET the friggin' car inspected before you buy.
