When you say "struggles" do you mean
doesn't crank over fast? From this distant vantage point, I'd suggest a new battery. You did not give the history of the present one.

Green battery indicator has been shown
to be very unreliable. Don't use it. And a six year old battery is prime to be replaced. Does your car crank over quickly? That's the best question to ask. I don't know what turning over "smoothly" means. If it spins quickly without starting, problem is probably other than battery. Many choices.

It is time to get a 49DL Autozone. At 6 years your car is living on borrowed time. Do it and hopefully that cures the problem. If not you have not wasted a penny in spending on a battery at this time and perhaps saved money from having the battery go dead while somewhere on the road. Make sure to check the battery connections.
