I can't even get an email address that works. Hope he's still in business. I'm 6feet tall and the stock mirror is such a pain.
Does anyone know where I can get one of these adapters? Anyone else making these besides Gary?

I've been to the website, but there's no way to place an order.
owner just removed the BMW mount from the windshield and replaced with a GM mount:

thanks...I may do this mod by removing the old mount and gluing on a gm mount from a salvage yard..in the article it said that he got the oem mount off by heating it..prob to soften the glue or adhesive. was it heated using a propane torch...or hair dryer or maybe a hot air gun?? i might have to get or rent a new tool here i don't want to damage or crack the windshield with too much heat...thanksTeesZee

windscreen is very fragile which I discovered when I twisted my OEM mirror off and cracked the glass. Thus, the Garys adaptor.
I suggest that you work it off with fishing line then clean off the adhesive.

scott...thanks for the hints what pound test fishline is recommended and is it the nylon variety? I assume you slide it behind the mirror mount, then saw it back and forth while pulling upward on the line until the mirror mount is finally loosened from the windshield. The a solvent like goo-off to remove the adhesive...or is there a better solvent? TeesZee

Remove the dashes, then the link should work.

Thanks for the link.
Yes regarding the line and action. The solvent however may be a problem if the window is coated and that is something that I don't know enough about.
