Alright, first you beat us, now you lose to UCLA??
Even when you don't play against us, you find a way to screw us. At least our loss was to a top-ten school. Nope, not anymore. You just HAD to kill our power ratings.
Stupid Longhorns... :-)<img src="http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs225.snc4/38573_416031212964_748877964_4854801_8274202_n.jpg ">

Hey, I told you we weren't going undefeated.
I dunno what's wrong with Mack's boys. It's certainly not his fault, or any of the coaching staff's for that matter. Half those guys could be head coaches at lots of other schools.
And we're talking about a team where 80% of the roster were 4 and 5 star athletes coming in. And we're not talking the ignorant type all-star caliber athlete either; those guys actually have to have respectable smarts about them. Not like when I was there. :-)
I wasn't holding my breath that we'd be able to run the ball this year, but we haven't been a running team in years anyway. But Gilbert was either the #1 or #2 QB in the nation out of highschool and he still looks like a second stringer way too often when it comes to decision making. And otherwise talented receivers are dropping passes. And all the idiotic penalties and bonehead decisions?!?! (like wth was Brown thinking when he tried to field the punt on the 5 yard line?!?!? And then he fumbles on top of that!!! I mean, you freeking learn in peewee football not to field a punt inside the 10!!!).
I'm not buying into the nonsense about them looking ahead to OU either. I think UCLA is better than some people give them credit for, but if we'd played like we should have/could have it wouldn't have been a game.
Like I was saying the other day, we have 12 true freshman starting, so I'm already looking to next year and waiting for the 2011 baseball season to start. lol

Nah, it was only a PAC 10 school...
We never have any power here, right?<font color=white>

Don't look at me. I never said never.
But generally speaking, no. The PAC 10 isn't exactly the first conference I (or prolly others) thinks of when we hear the word "power". :)
Unless swimming and diving counts. lol (or whatever it is the conference is known for....I gotta admit some ignorance here; I'm not even sure I could name more than 4 schools in the PAC 10 w/o cheating)

That's OK, Pac 10 and cheating go hand in hand...
Well, for one school, at least :-)<img src="http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs225.snc4/38573_416031212964_748877964_4854801_8274202_n.jpg ">

When I said I didn't see us going undefeated,
I hope I didn't bring on enough bad karma that they lose out. lol
Again, sloppy seems to be an appropriate way to describe the way UT played. On OU's initial drive of the game, our defense looked like they were going to be able to handle their offense easily, but what should have been two quick 3 and outs were killed by stupid mistakes (by I believe 2 of those 12 freshman I was talking about) and seemed to set the tone for the game, until it was too late to recover anyway. You aren't gonna beat a team like OU that way. And I have to give OU credit, they looked pretty good. Should be interesting to see what they do from here out.
Other than Texas/OU, I was expecting the Alabama/Florida game to be pretty fun to watch, but that turned into a yawnfest. The best game I saw yesterday was actually Oregon and Stanford. Oregon has an incredible offense (and their defense ain't bad either), and the rocket scientists at Stanford (especially Luck) looked pretty impressive as well. Looked like they lost a lotta wind when some breaks went Oregon's way in the 2nd half, but up until then it was a good game.
But (and BigDaddy may not like this) I'm still going to say Oregon's coach is a tool. I couldn't believe his comment going into half essentially suggesting the refs were showing favoritism to Stanford. Not slamming the team at all, I have nothing against them. But at minimum, the coach actually comes off as lacking a little class and like a poor sport (and I'll resist bringing up the deal last season (?) with kicking the guy off the team and then bringing him back when they needed him).
Yea, that's sticking to your word. (woops). lol
But I can see Oregon making it to the big game. I don't know their schedule from here out, but they're in the PAC 10, can't be that tough. lol (sorry BigDaddy, j/k). I think the ducks and Alabama might be a pretty good one.
Of course, since my season of college football enjoyment now falls on the shoulders of the guys at TCU, maybe they can find a way to get there.

And btw, in case you didn't hear, I saw where
your Troyann's beat my Raiders Friday night. Something like 50something to 20something.
Damned islanders. :)

At least I have one team that's doing well...
Iowa State?! Really?! Go Trinity!<img src="http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs225.snc4/38573_416031212964_748877964_4854801_8274202_n.jpg ">
