How often do you get an Alignment ?

I almost never get an alignment on my BMW's. But I do have the wheels balances every year. How often do you get alignment and balancing as part of normal maintenance.

with an eye toward feathering.
Or if I changed suspension parts such as CAB or ball joints or shocks.
Or if the steering felt anything other than normal.

Only balance the wheel/tire combo when new tires are installed, unless I get shimmy.

only after parts are replaced

or after you hit something

or the steering is not centered.........

I get one with every set of new tires. The cost is much less than just one of those tires. I usually cut a corner or two too tight, so the back passenger wheel takes a good whack a couple of times a year.

My last set of tires lasted much less than normal, with extreme wear on the inside edge on all four tires. Even though I'd gotten an alignment with that set just 18 months earlier, I had them tweak the alignment again to be square in the middle of the range spec.

Never on my 2002 325iT... unless you count centering the wheel when new... my Service Advisor stated it was within spec and it was not level... so I did it myself.
