05' 745li adaptive headlamps
Yep, the lil' green light is flashing on the dash control for the headlamps (auto position). It is intermittent, though, and my front headlamps work fine with the fog lamps engaged, but NOT when foglamps are NOT engaged. WEIRD! The adaptive aspects don't work either, even though the warning lamp is intermittent. 5-watt fuse intact, no issue there. Any ideas what the cure is? I went through some prior posts here, no clue.....Car was recently 'reprogrammed' due to the master brake cylinder recal, lines, sending units, etc. Any thoughts much appreciated!
Re: 05' 745li adaptive headlamps
Usually when we see these symptoms in our dealership, its usually an indication of a failure within the adaptive headlight assy. Based on experience alone, I'm certain that there is moisture within the SMC module in the headlamp assy. (SMC=Stepper Motor Control) The only real way to tell is remove the entire headlamp assy. One thing to remember is that the drivers side is the "controller"
