Spun my car in the snow this AM.....
I have been doing really well with my GoodYear Eagle F1 all weathers and detuning the traction control to DTC over the last two winters.
I use compressive braking (downshifting to 2nd on my manual tranny). This morning, it was pretty slick and when I downshifted coming up on a light, the car made a 180. Fortunately I was clear of traffic.
Apparently there is no action by traction control when negative torque is applied to the wheels under this condition. Something to keep in mind.http://forums1.roadfly.com/preferenc....php?img=99782
Kinda makes sense that there's no real...
Way to overcome engine braking. TY for posting and good that you and your car are AOK.
