"Patriotism is not short, frenzied outbursts of emotion, but the tranquil and steady dedication of a lifetime."
Adlai E. Stevenson
I got an X3 as a loaner during one of my connecting rod bearing recalls. I gave it to my wife and took her Civic for a few days. She loved the X3. She wanted to drive when we went out together. She also drove faster, and started tailgating. Hmmm. This explains a lot of things. I talked her out of a Pilot and into an Accord in 2005, becuase gas hit $2/gallon. I'm not sure I'll be so lucky next time.
Once you drop the body-on-frame, station wagon on a pick-up truck frame architecutre, there is a lot of potential to make a more appealing MILF-mobile. The two platform co-managers for the new Explorer are women.
Based on the FWD Volvo platform from the Taurus, so like the Highlander, it is truly just a FWD wagon with a bunch of wasted material to make it look like a truck.
Granted it's a unibody, but at least the Jeep GC is still a dedicated RWD platform.
