If the price of oil goes up, we see the price increase at the pumps within 24 hrs. If the price of oil drops, we see the price drop at the pumps....never.
Then maybe people will start buying smaller cars, change their driving habits, and maybe walk a bit more...or use public transportation. Lazy-azz Americans.
...and one advantage (if not the only advantage) of democracy is that you can have a new leader without cutting the head of the old one off.

Where do all the oil companies hide their money? They could easily pay off the national debt...or buy the US with spare change.
'public utilities' they ought to be regulated as such. nothing wrong with a healthy profit but when the profit comes at the expense of the health of the whole economy perhaps it ought to be reigned in a bit.
