If the plastic clip always breaks when removed,
how is it going to be intact on a used unit?
And where did you get that number? Not even the right number of digits as far as I can see.
When I look up your car, it looks to me like you have a Bowden cable connecting your pedal to the engine, and not drive by wire. Can you examine and confirm which you have?

You are right it does not look like the drive by wire pedal assemblies I saw on line. Does that change your opinion of what the problem could be?

you need to inspect from your gas pedal
all the way to the throttle housing for a problem
and if you did have drive by wire?
you DO NOT buy used gas pedals,
and you DO need to order the securing
