Greetings from an old Gosport resident who now lives in Seattle, WA USA. Never thought I'd run into a Bimmer owner from Pompey!
When I was a kid, I rode the train from Portsmouth and Southsea station every day - it was sleazy, run-down and decrepid. Two years ago last Xmas, (having been away 20 years)I was back in Pompey to visit some old friends. Caught the train from Waterloo to Portsmouth and Southsea station - it's STILL sleazy, decrepid and run-down!! Surely, British Rail (or whoever they are these days) can afford a coat of paint? What a way to welcome visitors to Portsmouth!
PS Seattle's not all bad - at least you can buy Boddington's beer here now!<br><img src="http://home.comcast.net/~cliff.carpenter/BMW-E-38/BMW_2000_740iL.jpg" height=400 width=500>
