Bay Area, Whare do you get your car serviced?
Its about time for the M3 to get serviced, and thanks to all of my prior bad experiences with dealers, I think i should get some input. Where do you go to get your car serviced? Do they do a good job? And, Do you know of a good service writer there?
Thanks!<hr><h5 align="center"><table border="0"><tr><td><img src="http://members.roadfly.com/bimmerm3/lesig.jpg" width="500" height="200"></TD><td align="center"><strong><b>bimmer ///M3</b></strong><b><br><font size="-1">2002 Steel Grey ///M3 Convertible</font><font size="-2"><br>AC Schnitzer Aluminum Pedals<br>Umnitza GenV Angel Eyes<br>Custom Switch Panel<br>Valentine 1 Hardwire<br>SilverVision Turn Signals (Red In Rear)<br>H7 Hyperwhite Fogs, Low & High Beams<br>BBS CH Wheels With Custom Satin Finish<br>--Tire Sizes: Front 255/35-19, Rear 285/30-19</b></font></td></tr></table><hr></body>

Definitely give Motor Speed West a try. They always do a good job for me and customer service is excellent.
But they don't do warrany work, right?

Re: But they don\'t do warrany work, right?
Yea, I don't think they do warranty work. I got all of my warranty work done at Stevens Creek BMW.
Re: Bay Area, Whare do you get your car serviced?
For warranty work I prefer peter pan bmw.. all non warranty work is done at dinan in mountian view.
I use SFBMW now. Avoid Sonnen at all cost

Re: Bay Area, Whare do you get your car serviced?
MotorSpeed West in San Jose ( near the airport ) . I have used them for major M5 work and recently on my 2000 740i sport. I found them about 4 years. A bmw sales guy I know said that this is where he and many of the other sales guys ( from the same local deal ) take their car... Ask for Anthony.
i\'ve been going to concord for 5+ years...
have always been very happy with the service department. the svc mgr is a great lady. they try to do it right and if there's a problem will work to fix it...that's about all you can ask imo.
you under warantee, or need Independent BMW serv?
If you want an Independent BMW Shop, Bill Arnold's shop in San Rafael is the finest you will find. His phone is 415 459 2697. He is located in the Woodland shopping/ind. park off Anderson: next to Jackson's Hardware store. As you can tell from my list of cars- I do not know about Dealer shops- only their parts departments. If you call Bill- tell him Jay- Inka A4 recommended him to you. There are other fine Independents in the Bay Area, but Bill surpasses them all, in many peoples' opinion. Good luck.///

Cannot disagree more. Had to take my car back in for more work on two occasions. Would not recommend them at all.
East Bay - one bad experience
I dropped by on a Saturday without an appointment for a simple oil change. They said they could get me in and out within 1-2 hours, which I didn't have a problem since I didn't have an appointment to begin with. The service advisor told me they would notify me when my car was ready. I told them I would be in their lounge. Well, they never told me my car was ready. I only found out when I stared outside the window and saw my car parked in their parking lot. Very unprofessional!
Update: tried Weatherford and they were very good
