Im thinking of using this size turbo on a m20 2.5l, i know it is alittle small but it will probably be temporary untill i can find a good used t3/t4 hybrid. Is it worth trying or too small?

It all depends on the amount of HP you want to make. I have a T3 0.48 and 0.60AR on my 318 (M42).
This perticular T3 is rated for a maximum HP of 300-325. So, if it's in your range, your ok.
If not, an hybrid T3-T4 would be the hot ticket, but more expensive.
A friend of mine just installed a T4 on his M20 and says that since he has the T4 turbine (not a T3-T4) he has some lag, and the T4 kicks in a bit over 4000RPM. In contrast, my smaller turbine, kicks in at 2800-3000RPM.
For your application, a turbine of 0.63AR would be more appropriate than a 0.48, but a 0.48 is better than no turbo at all :-)
