Good strategy for AUDI, better than the LeMans relationship, which IMO didn't help sales in the US market.
Ford Cosworth.....Jaguar will probably pull-out this year, what does this mean for the Cosworth future????
Audi would commit so much $$$ in a program that won't reap some finanical reward by way of increased sales of their cars. Since Porsche/Audi is essentially the same company now, I'm also surprise that Audi doesn't look at Porsche's previous Gran Prix experience in 1962. While Porsche was competitive that year, but with only 1 victory, they decided to pull out for the reason I've stated. Too much $$$ money spent in F1 with little financial gain. The next year they concentrated on sports car racing and the rest is history.

Audi made a deal with Luca Montezumelo for F1 technology. In return
Audi would give access to all wheel drive technology to Ferrari Road cars.
